Tour Description

Planned Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival at El Calafate:
Welcome to El Calafate, a charming town nestled by the shores of Lago Argentino, the largest lake in Patagonia and the gateway to Los Glaciares National Park. Overnight in El Calafate.
Day 2: Excursion to the Perito Moreno Glacier:
Begin your day with breakfast before embarking on an excursion to the Perito Moreno Glacier within Los Glaciares National Park. The journey spans 50 miles (80 kilometers) from El Calafate to this renowned glacier, positioned in the southwest corner of Lago Argentino. A highlight of the National Park, recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the Perito Moreno Glacier stretches 19 miles long, 3 miles wide, and towers 197 feet high. Accompanied by a guide, you'll traverse a 1,300-foot (400-meter) trail leading to a spectacular viewpoint near the glacier. Spend approximately two hours soaking in the breathtaking scenery; upon reaching the viewpoint (after an hour's walk), enjoy time to capture photos and appreciate the awe-inspiring vista of the glacier and lake. As a growing glacier, the Perito Moreno advances slightly each day. With some luck, you might witness the dramatic spectacle of ice calving from the glacier's face and crashing into the water below. You may bring your own lunch or dine at the restaurant within the National Park. Overnight in El Calafate.
Day 3: Explore at Your Leisure - Free Day:
Today is your day to choose an activity or simply unwind at your hotel. El Calafate offers numerous activities, from sailing amidst glaciers to visiting a traditional Patagonian estancia to discover the local culture and customs. Recommended options include Sailing Rivers of Ice or the Estancia Cristina Classic Tour. Overnight in El Calafate.
Day 4: Flight from El Calafate to Ushuaia:
After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, you'll be transported to El Calafate airport for your domestic flight to Ushuaia. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day exploring Ushuaia, the world's southernmost city and the capital of the Province of Tierra del Fuego. Overnight in Ushuaia.
Day 5: Discover Tierra del Fuego National Park and "End of the World" Train:
Following breakfast, set out for the National Park, located 11 kilometers from Ushuaia. Experience the untouched beauty of lakes, lagoons, and rivers, and embark on a journey to the Beagle Channel. Departing from Maipú Avenue, we'll head southwest along National Route 3, passing the slopes of Mount Susana, where the historical Fuegian Train now operates. Here, an optional tour is available. Proceeding through the valley, we'll take a detour to Ensenada Bay, where you'll witness views of Redonda and Estorbo Islands, the opposite shore of the Beagle Channel, and the snow-capped Sampaio Mountains in Chile. Continuing on National Route 3 through the lush Fuegian forest, we'll arrive at Roca Lake for a lakeside stroll along the Lapataia River, originating from the lake. You'll also see Cerro Condor, marking the natural border with Chile. Our journey leads us to the park's end at Lapataia Bay, where National Route 3 concludes. Here, we'll explore the Green and Black Lagoons and an evolving peat bog. The path through beaver dams will guide us to Lapataia Bay. Overnight in Ushuaia.
Day 6: Leisure Day in Ushuaia:
After breakfast, enjoy a free day to select an activity or relax at your hotel. We suggest a 4x4 tour to Fagnano and Escondido Lakes. Overnight in Ushuaia.
Day 7: Return to Your Starting Point:
Conclude your journey with breakfast at your hotel before being transported to Ushuaia airport for your domestic flight back to your origin.
