Our journey commences at 6:00 PM from the renowned Plaza de los Pioneros, located in the vibrant city of El Calafate. Here, our knowledgeable guide will be eagerly awaiting our arrival, welcoming us with a savory empanada and a glass of the exquisite Patagonian wine's premier vintage. The guide will then enlighten us about the birth and growth of the wine industry in Argentina's southern region.
Our walking tour then embarks, introducing us to the rich history of El Calafate. Our path will lead us through the bustling Libertador Avenue, the historic Perito Moreno Square, the iconic parish, and the town hall, among other significant landmarks.
Next, we proceed to the town's first house, where we will savor the second vintage of our wine tasting. Our journey takes us next to the charming Pasaje Soto. Along the way, our guide will narrate the fascinating evolution of El Calafate. Upon reaching Pasaje Soto, we will indulge in tasting the third vintage of wine while learning about the influential figure that the place is named after.
Following this, we will visit the Parks Department, where the guide will elucidate on the crucial role and significance of the National Parks in shaping the city of El Calafate.
