Our journey begins with a pickup from the hotels at 16:15 PM and we proceed towards the Estancia Galpon del Glacier. Our Country Day offering is the perfect opportunity to explore and experience Patagonia amidst nature. We commence with a warm welcome comprising mate , chocolate, tea and traditional homemade goodies in our vintage Warehouse, established in the year 1912.

We then escort you around the Estancia to enlighten you about its history and typical activities of Patagonia: guided trek to the Lago Argentino via the " Nature Reserve ¨Laguna de los Pájaros " and Lago Argentino, an interpretative trail of Patagonian flora and fauna where you can spot over 40 species of migratory birds. Additionally, sheep herding with Kelpies dogs and horses, shearing demonstrations in the Galpon to learn about wool production in the region, and other traditional rural activities form part of our unique offering.

A guided tour and shearing demonstration in the ancient shed, dating back to 1912: our guides offer insights on wool production, packaging, and transportation. Here, you will also witness a shearing demonstration by the resident shearer. Subsequently, we head to the main part of the Estancia to savor a delicious typical Patagonian dinner, accompanied by an enchanting tango and folklore performance by local artists.

As our dinner concludes, we make our way back to El Calafate, expecting to arrive around 10:00 PM.
