Star Watching In El Calafate

Your adventure commences when we collect you from your centrally located hotel. We'll travel along Provincial Route No. 11 towards the Patagonian Lands Ranch, nestled 40kms from El Calafate, adjacent to Los Glaciares National Park. 

Along the journey, marvel at the breathtaking views of Lake Argentino set against the backdrop of the Andes mountain range, whilst observing the indigenous flora and fauna.

Upon arrival at the Patagonian Lands Ranch, you'll have ample time to explore the area, immerse yourself in the history of the locale, and take in the natural beauty that engulfs the ranch.

Following your exploration, we'll savor a pasta buffet dinner boasting panoramic views of the rolling hills that envelope the Estancia.

Post-dinner, we'll curate a 15-minute film screening designed to give you a sneak peek into astronomy, teasing what's to come. Once the informative session concludes, we'll dive into stargazing, with an astronomer leading the introductions and guiding you on how to navigate the night sky, utilize the telescope, and learn about the Milky Way, nebulae, stars, constellations, associated mythology, and much more.

As well as stargazing, we'll partake in night photography or “Astrophotography” and enjoy Light Painting, a unique technique that allows you to paint with light on a photograph without the need for photoshop or any photo editing software.

After reveling in this extraordinary experience, we'll commence our journey back to your hotel situated in the heart of El Calafate city.
