Embark on an extraordinary hike through the captivating Petrified Forest La Leona! We are scheduling an exploration of roughly 3 hours, during which we'll delve into remnants of the prehistoric era.

Beyond the trek, we'll be treated to awe-inspiring views such as the stunning Lake Argentino, as well as the majestic Andes Mountains, inclusive of the iconic Fitz Roy Hill. This is an opportunity not to be missed!

At the scheduled time, we'll commence our journey from our chosen hotels, setting off along the iconic Route 40. This trip provides breathtaking vistas of Argentino Lake, the Santa Cruz River, and the La Leona River, all complemented by a stunning panoramic view of the Andes Mountains, including the majestic Fitz Roy Mountain.

Our journey includes an approximate 15-minute stop at the Hotel La Leona, an important historical landmark, where we can refresh ourselves and explore its quaint museum. We then continue our journey along the southern edge of Lake Viedma and towards Cerro Los Hornos, ultimately arriving at the Estancia Santa Teresita.

Upon arrival, we'll disembark from our vehicle to embark on our walking adventure. Our trek will lead us through a land depression, where we'll encounter petrified logs resting on the surface, some boasting diameters of up to 1.20 meters! We'll also spot fossil remains of various dinosaurs that once roamed this area. This trek spans 3 hours, and includes time for a lunch break within the paleontological site.

Following our walk, we'll return to the Lioness for services before heading back to our selected hotels in El Calafate.
