Our tour, Estancia Cristina Trekking Cañadón de Fósiles, will lead you past landmarks such as the Uppsala Viewpoint with its grand eastern front, Lake Guillermo, the Southern Patagonian Ice, and the Cerros Murallón and Don Bosco, culminating at the awe-inspiring Cañadón de los Fósiles.

Your adventure kicks off as you are fetched from your downtown El Calafate hotels, setting off towards the commencement point of the expedition. Our initial halt is at Puerto Punta Bandera, where a state-of-the-art vessel awaits to escort us to the Estancia region, marking the beginning of our tour.
Upon disembarking, 4x4 vehicles, designed specifically for these terrains, will be at our service to embark on a 9.5 km journey through Cordón Feruglio, traversing a mountainous path previously enveloped by glaciers. We will relish observing captivating geological landscapes until we reach the Continental Ice Refuge.
From this point, we will undertake an approximated 20-minute hike to ascend the Upsala Viewpoint, positioned 550 meters above sea level, offering panoramic views of the Guillermo Lake and the magnificent Eastern Upsala Glacier, the Southern Patagonian Ice, and the Murallón and Don Bosco Hills.
Post this breathtaking experience, we will initiate another trek to descend to the Cañadón de los Fósiles, a place rich in fossils, remnants of the last marine ingression, revealed by glacial activity.
Concluding this, we will traverse a final stretch to arrive at the Estancia Cristina Valley, initiating our return journey to the boat that will transport us back to Puerto Punta Bandera, and subsequently, to the hotels of the passengers, concluding the tour.

Incrível experiência no Trekking Fossil Canyon! A travessia de barco até a Estancia Cristina já é um espetáculo. As paisagens são de tirar o fôlego, e caminhar pelo cânion foi realmente especial. A guia era super atenciosa e sabia tudo sobre a região. Ver fósseis em um cenário tão remoto foi impressionante! Ideal para quem ama natureza e aventura. Recomendo levar um bom par de botas e câmera para capturar cada momento mágico.
