If you've arranged for port transfer, your Sunset Sailing adventure commences in El Calafate. You'll be collected from your hotel between 11:00 and 11:30 am and transported to Puerto Punta Bandera, situated 47 km from the city center.
Upon reaching the boarding terminal, our skilled team will be ready to assist you with the pre-boarding procedures and guide you on purchasing a ticket for Los Glaciares National Park, if you haven't secured one yet. Boarding starts at 12:30 pm, and by 1:00 pm, we embark towards the Spegazzini Channel.
This voyage offers you the chance to witness the mesmerizing hues of the Patagonian sunset. Our initial destination is the Spegazzini Base, situated right in front of the eponymous Glacier. Here, you can take in the breathtaking panoramic views and relax in the modern Spegazzini Refuge, where we offer an optional lunch with a stunning view.
Post-lunch, we'll board the vessel to proceed with our expedition. Throughout the journey, you'll encounter three distinct glaciers: Heim Sur, Peineta, and the majestic Spegazzini Glacier, which towers over 135 meters, making it the tallest of them all.
Having admired the Spegazzini Glacier, we'll navigate towards the Dry Glacier and finally enter the Upsala Channel. Here, sailing amidst the icebergs that have drifted from the Upsala Glacier provides an unforgettable experience.
We will return to Puerto Punta Bandera around 8:00 p.m.
